Wiscasset Village Throws a Party on June 27, 4-7pm

What to Expect at Wiscasset Art Walk Season Opener, June 27, 4-7pm

Come as you are to Wiscasset Village on Thursday, June 27, 4-7pm to experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of this pretty, vibrant, and historic town center along the Sheepscot River.

SIGHTS: Galleries welcome visitors to see work by contemporary New England artists, paintings from the 18th-19th centuries, quirky assemblages, sculpture, and prints. On the sidewalks, local artists and artisans display their latest creations for purchase.

SOUNDS: Wiscasset’s Laurie Rousseau is this month’s featured sidewalk musician, playing and demonstrating the Hurdy-Gurdy. Enjoy jazz guitar and harp in the galleries and a guitar and mandolin duo playing traditional fiddle tunes in Aekeir Brewing. All listening is free!

TASTES: Wine tasting in Treats, nibbles in galleries, and Bowlicious food truck to eat outside or inside the new Aekeir Brewing (BYOF). Enjoy any of these delicious menus before, during or after WAW: Red’s Eats, Water St. Kitchen, Jodie’s Restaurant, Sprague’s Lobster, In a Silent Way, and Jolie Rogers!

Wiscasset Art Walk returns on these last Thursdays of the summer months: July 25, August 29, and September 26 when new features will include LamboLaw jazz duo, the Long Branch Boys, the fine art of dueling, and Woodfield Farm horse and wagon rides around the Village. All free!
